Responsibilities
Analyze and study complex system requirements. Desigh software tools and subsystems. Translate detailed design into computer software. Implement COTS packages. Test, debur, and refine computer software to produce the required product. Prepare required documentation, including both program-level and user-level. Enhance software to reduce operating time or improve efficiency. Provide technical guidance in software engineering techniques and automated support tools. Provide technical direction to programmers to ensure dealines are met.

Experience
Mandatory skill requirements; 1. Writing complex SQL queries 2. Writing data, table and index management statements 3. Using understanding of database structure to improve performance 4. Writing scripts to process files and glue together processes 5. Strong knowledge of at least on scripting langusge, preferably Perl 6. Writing DOS and HASH scripts Optional skill requirements: 1. Knowledge of parallel data management systems: Pentaho, Hadoop, Netezza, LexusNexus 2. Administration of Oracel and/or MySQL databases
Education
BS in Computer Science desired, but not required
