Responsibilities

Settlements Officer psotions are located across the Agency. Settlements Officers are responsible for a number of cost reimbursement and fixed price contracts. Duties involve performing contract closeouts under the supervision of a contracting officer. Analyzes information to determine that sufficient funds are available for closeout. Prepares and negotiates final settlelmenet. Makes final payment or collects overpayment. Deobligates excess funds. Resolves property dispositin issues. Prepares final closeout documentation.

Experience

1. Progressively responsible professional contracting experience. 2. Considerable knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and statutes 3. Working knowledge of contracting vehicles 4. Knowledge of Agency procurement system, regulations, policies and procedures

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Contract Administration or a closely related field of study
