Responsibilities
Responsible for UNIX servers (Sun F15000 and smaller) and the opeating system software and its successful integration with the hardware and applications software. Plans, tests, installs and integrates new and upgraded versions of the relevant operating systems and third-party software. Develops test plans and procedures. Tests and integrates software and hardware. Establishes development, testing staging and operating environments. Designs interfaces to external systems. Researches and resolves systems software problems efficiently and accurately while adhering to software management standards and procedures. Troubleshoots problems. Provides technical support to applications and utility developers. Maintains and updates documentation on the operating system configuration.

Mandatory skills required: 1. Knowledge of theories, principals and practices in systems administration 2. Knowledge of current technology trends 3. Experience developing and deploying IT software solutions 4. Experience administering Linux systems 5. Shell scripting experience

BS in Computer Science is desired but not required.
